Gary Wintz, a former PGA Tour player, designed this course as a tribute to the average golf player. He succeeded. It is a short, open course that only gets difficult playing from the Blue tees. All but one hole has water, but the hazards lurk in the periphery. The sand traps are not threatening. The par-5s are less than 500 yards from the White tees. The par-3s are 125 to 165 yards from the Blue tees. The only moderately long par-4s are the first and the 18th holes. You are likely to enjoy yourself playing at the Turnbull Bay Golf & Country Club. This is a semi-private golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.
