More information on Four Chaplains on the USS Dorchester
Branson takes heavy pride in being known as the most pro-veteran town in the United States and this ceremony honoring the anniversary of the four chaplains on the USS Dorchester further cements this reputation. The four chaplains are credited with saving more than 200 men by, of all things, surrendering their life vests. As the ship sank the chaplains were last seen bravely locked arm-in-arm in the act of prayer. A religious service and a color guard procession will help honor their courage with class and style. Admission is free.
