More information on Printemps des Musees
Every spring, museums in the city waive their admission prices for a day or two - a true opportunity to discover the city's temporary and permanent collections, special exhibitions, conferences and debates. This initiative takes place in various cities throughout Europe. For France, the program can be consulted online, on the site for the French Department of Culture, the event's sponsor. In Marseilles, suggestions include: the Musée de la Mode, the Musée des Beaux-Arts, the Musée de la Faïence and the Musée d'Archéologie Méditerranéenne.
