At presstime, the museum was undergoing a $258-million expansion, designed by internationally renowned architect Rafael Vinoly. Special exhibitions began showing again in October 2006, with Barcelona & Modernity: Picasso, GaudÃ, Miró, DalÃ, which was scheduled to run into January 2007. The permanent collections, which are scheduled to reopen in early 2007, include works by Titian, Holbein, Picasso, and Monet, among others. Other upcoming special exhibitions include Monet in Normandy February 18 to May 20, 2007, and Artistic Luxury: Fabergé Tiffany Lalique, February 1 to May 1, 2008.
