One of Broadway's smaller theatres, Circle in the Square seats under 700. It was built in 1972, and since then has been showing original and revival Broadway plays and musicals. It also houses the Circle In The Square Theatre School that trains and develops young actors through various training methods and allows then to showcase their talents. Designed by architect Alan Sayles, it is one of two theatres in the Paramount Plaza office tower. Its much bigger sibling is the Gershwin Theatre. The theatre entrance lobbies are side by side but separated by a wall.
