More information on Fiesta del 31 de Agosto
This festival is held on August 31 every year, in honor of the people who survived a fire that destroyed much of the town of San Sebastian in 1813. It takes place at the BasÃlica de Santa MarÃa del Coro, very close to where the fire broke out. The neighborhood comes together to mourn those who perished, and celebrate the area's recovery from devastation.
