Located in the heart of L.A., the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits is home of the largest and most diverse collection of fossils from the Ice Age. Over 3 million fossils of extinct plants and animals are on display here, including those from sabertoothed tigers, giant mammoths, and great ground sloths. Visitors get a glimpse of what life was like in Los Angeles between 10,000 and 40,000 years ago! Surrounding the museum is Hancock Park where life-sized replicas of extinct mammals capture your imagination. Learn how the tar pits were formed and what types of animals and plants were trapped there, go on a group overnight adventure, or see scientific discoveries in action at the world-famous Fish Bowl Laboratories.
