Don't fear if you can't be in town for the legendary Salzburd Festival. The Salzburger Schlosskonzerte (Concerts in the Palace) make a fine substitute, providing visitors with the opportunity to listen to the works of Mozart and company all year round. Around 250 concerts a year are performed in the stunning Marble Concert Hall in Schloss Mirabell, where the young Mozart himself was a regular performer. Most concerts feature works by Mozart and his contemporaries and are performed by local ensembles and chamber orchestras, internationally renowned soloists, young prodigies from the Altes Mozarteum and sometimes even members of renowned orchestras.
