Located on the shore of the Ottawa River, across from Parliament Hill, the Museum of Civilization opened to rave reviews in 1989 and is home to over three and a half million artifacts and exhibits of national historical and cultural importance. The museum is also home to the interactive Canadian Children's Museum. There is also an IMAX theater inside.
