When Benny Binion hosted the first tournament in 1949, he probably never dreamed of the successful venture it would become. The marathon lasted five months, and Johnny Moss won over 'Nick the Greek' Dondolos. He walked away with a cool USD2 million! Taking place every June, the tournament attracts more than 4,000 players. Winnings for the extravaganza are in the neighborhood of USD11 million. It all happens at Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino. If you wish to play, ante up USD10,000 and see how long you can last. Spectators are encouraged to watch the action free of charge.
