This exceptionally large theater was named after George and Ira Gershwin in 1983. It is composed of six different levels, with more than 1900 comfortable seats. The views of the stage in the auditorium are limited because of the vastness of this theater. he Gershwin Theatre was named in honor of one of America's greatest composers, George Gershwin, and his brother, lyricist Ira Gershwin. The theatre's rotunda was designed to showcase the names and photographs of Broadway's own Theater Hall of Fame.
