More information on Seattle Youth Symphony Orchestra
Once upon a time, this was a training ground for local high school and college musicians aspiring to play in the Seattle Symphony. But these days, the highly competitive orchestra sends kids to places like Juilliard, the New England Conservatory of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, and few return to play in the local orchestras. Under the baton of Jonathan Shames, the concerts are well-executed crowd pleasers. All concerts take place Sundays at 3pm at Benaroya Hall. Call for ticket information.
