Manuel e Juaquim is located in front of the Copacabana beach, and is a good example of what is referred to here as a botequim: an informal bar and restaurant, usually not very large. This is a busy place, so be prepared for a lot of noise and movement. The bar has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and the saloon has glass all around, offering some great views. The main dishes here are seafood varieties, to be enjoyed with the accompaniment of a chilling draught beer. The bar is open six days a week from 5 p.m. onwards, except on Sundays.
